Review of "Revealed" by Tamera Alexander

When I finish a book with a smile on my face and tears in my eyes, I guarantee you it was a wonderful read!

The sequel to Rekindled by Tamera Alexander, and the second in the series Fountain Creek Chronicles, this book is very touching and memorable. Set in the late 1800's, this book tells the story of Annabelle Grayson McCutchens and Matthew Taylor. It is a wonderful story that beautifully illustrates God's grace and forgiveness.

Annabelle is trying to make a new life for herself after escaping the brothel. Her husband Jonathan McCutchens purchased her freedom, and she is very grateful to him but still unable to love him as she wants to. She is still learning to forgive herself and embrace God's love and forgiveness.

After Jonathan dies on their way to Idaho territory where he has purchased a ranch, Annabelle finds she is expecting his child. She needs someone to guide her to her new ranch and hires Jonathan's brother, Matthew.

Matthew has long despised Annabelle because of her previous profession, however. He was against his brother's marriage to her and told them both so. The trip to Idaho thus has a very rocky beginning. Can Matthew learn to accept Annabelle and see her as God sees her?

Matthew has a secret of his own that he is running from as well. When the truth catches up with him, will all his hopes and dreams be destroyed?

Find out in this wonderful book. It is a real page turner, and yet I found myself wanting to read it slowly and savor every page -- it was that good. I highly recommend this book for your home library.
